Key Ingredients

  • Canned tuna – The protein base of this salad. Albacore or chunk light both work; choose what you prefer for texture and flavor.
  • Dill pickles – Add tangy crunch and signature flavor. Chopping them finely ensures even bites.
  • Celery – Provides fresh crunch that balances the creamy dressing.
  • Fresh dill – Brings brightness and a fresh herbal note that ties the salad together.
  • Red onion – Optional, but adds sharpness and color.
  • Jalapeño – Optional for a subtle kick; finely chop for even heat distribution.
  • Greek yogurt & mayonnaise – A 50/50 mix creates a creamy texture with extra protein and a lighter feel.
  • Mustard – A blend of Dijon and grainy mustard adds depth and tang.
  • Pickle juice – Enhances pickle flavor and helps loosen the dressing.

How to Make It

  • Mix the dressing – In a large bowl, whisk together Greek yogurt, mayo, both mustards, and pickle juice until smooth and creamy.
  • Add the tuna & veggies – Flake the drained tuna right into the bowl, then stir in the chopped dill pickles, celery, red onion, fresh dill, and jalapeño (if using).
  • Season to taste – Start with a pinch of salt, then adjust after tasting — tuna and pickles already bring plenty of saltiness.
  • Serve your way – Scoop onto toasted bread, stuff into lettuce wraps, or serve with crackers and fresh veggies for a quick protein snack.
