  4. Air fry at 400°F for 8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  5. While the veggies cook, pat 2 salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt. Spoon the honey harissa glaze generously over the filets and coat evenly on all sides.
  6. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down over the veggie mixture. Air fry for another 8 to 10 minutes, until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Notes

  • No air fryer? Roast the veggies and chickpeas on a lined sheet pan at 425°F for 15 minutes, then push them to the sides, add the glazed salmon fillets, and return to the oven for another 10 to 12 minutes until the salmon is cooked through and caramelized on top.
  • Harissa brands vary a lot in heat level. Mina and Trader Joe's are both mild-ish. If yours is spicy, start with 1 tbsp and taste before adding more honey to balance.
  • Can't find harissa? Swap it for a mix of 1 tbsp tomato paste, ½ tsp smoked paprika, ½ tsp cumin, and a pinch of cayenne. It won't be identical, but it hits the same smoky, spicy notes. Sriracha or sambal oelek also work in a pinch if you just want the heat without the North African flavor profile.
  • Salmon doneness: 8 minutes will give you a slightly translucent center (medium). Go the full 10 if you prefer fully cooked through.
  • Couscous tip: If using couscous, get it started right when you turn the air fryer on. It only needs boiling water and 5 minutes to steam, so it'll be ready right when the salmon is done. No extra dishes needed if you use the same bowl you mixed the veggies in. (Couscous not include in nutrition info above).
